Six Dwarves?

The most entertaining thing on telly last night, well apart from QI, was Newsnight’s Labour deputy leadership debate. Quite a few moments to get me laughing or shouting at the TV.

Wasn’t it interesting how they all seem to want to make sure that they were seen to regard Tony Blair as some sort of bad smell?

Who won? Well I thought Harriet Harman just seem to shade it. She came across as the marginally more human of the six. Is it just me or does Peter Hain get increasingly more creepy with age? I expect there will be a few old liberals around to claim he was always like that. And Hilary Benn seemed to be doing his best to do an impression of his dad.

If I had a vote I’d be voting for Jon Cruddas – for many of the reasons why I don’t qualify for a vote!
